It was no problem for me to install and run Ardour. It is nice to have a Linux native multitracker application, and it appears to run fine; although my Presonus disconnected after long inactivity - but I think that was more likely its Jack setup. I think Ardour is a natural to include in this distro.

The distro is big enough already. It takes less time to install it via Synaptic, than download it with a distro iso )

That sounds surprising to me, as I ordinarily download distros as torrents when I can; and they seem categorically faster than singular file downloads, as repository fetches are. While I can understand the concern for the size of the distro, and the many packages that people might recommend for inclusion, Ardour, along with Audacity, seem to be of relatively unique interest to those doing Linux digital audio.
